12/17 (Sun.) Kids Ski Free Day

The third Sunday of every month is “Ski Kodomo no Hi,” where children of elementary school age can ride the lifts for free at various resorts across central Japan. Ski resorts that will hold their first kids ski free day of the season starting in December, 12/17 (Sun.), are as follows.

Tsugaike Kogen, Hakuba Happo-One, Hakuba Goryu & Hakuba 47, Kashimayari, AKAKAN, Akakura Onsen, Madarao Kogen, Nozawa Onsen, Shiga Kogen, Sugadaira Kogen, Ontake
 
Hakuba Cortina, Hakuba Norikura Onsen, and Hakuba Iwatake will begin hosting kids their kids ski free days in January.
*At Jigatake, the cost of a one-day lift ticket for children (JPY2,700; 3 years old to junior high school students) will be reduced to JPY1,000.
*At Shirakaba-ko Royal Hill, free admission is available for two elementary school students or younger for every one junior high school student or older throughout the season.
*For preschoolers riding the lifts…
Lift tickets are free anytime at HAKUBA VALLEY resorts (with the exception of Jigatake), AKAKAN, Akakura Onsen, and Madarao Kogen.
At Nozawa Onsen and Shiga Kogen, one preschool age child per paying adult is permitted to ride free.
At Sugadaira Kogen, tickets for children under 3 years of age are free, while those for children 4 years and older are JPY1,100.
