On 9/20 (Fri), there was the first snowcap on Daisetsuzan Kurodake (1,984m) because of the cold wave. According to Rinyu Kanko Ltd., Co, it was observed that the snow falling at the mountain hut of Kurodake Ishimuro around the summit of Kurodake at 23:20 on 9/20 (Fri) and there was a snowcap on the summit area in the early morning on 9/21 (Sat).
*According to the Asahikawa Local Meteorological Agency, the first snowcap on Daisetsuzan Asahidake (2,291m) was observed on 10/4 (Thu) last year (2023). The average of the first snowcap is on 9/25, the earliest is on 9/6 and the latest is on 10/15.
