First Snowing on Mt. Fuji

Today on 11/7 (Thu), Kofu Local Meteorological Office announced that there was the first snow on Mt. Fuji (3,776m). This is 36 days later than usual (10/2), 33 days later than last year (10/5) and this is the latest since 1894 when the record started. Furthermore, the first snow was observed on “Toho Renzan Peaks (Shiga Kogen, Azumayama, Nekodake), Mt. Hotaka, Mt. Asama and others as well.

By the way, Japan Meteorological Agency forecasts about El Nino that “The weather pattern looks normal now, but the feature of La Nina Pattern appears gradually. The possibility that the weather pattern of La Nina would occur and that of the weather pattern would stay normal are almost on the same level.
